Josiah's focus has been on using data visualization techniques to create tools that allow researcher to directly view their genome assemblies by changing nucleotides into colors, and genomes into explorable images, like Google Maps for genomes. DNASkittle.com and FluentDNA.com have both shown how genome assemblies can be made directly viewable. Now, leading the Pantograph team and using Graph Genomes, we've been able to show how a pangenome with the genetic diversity of an entire species is explorable at GraphGenome.org.
